AFP receives buses for medical support

PASIG CITY, April 10 (PIA) – Two buses were received by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) from Victory Liner, Incorporated to be used to transport medical and support personnel.
Mr. Dominic Hernandez of Victory Liner led the donation which was received by the Major General Edgardo De Leon the Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7 and joined by Rear Admiral Alberto Carlos the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, J4 and the Commander of the General Headquarters and Headquarters Service Command, Brigadier General Rodolfo Lavadia Jr at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on Tuesday.
According to the AFP, the refurbished buses will be used for their operations to combat the spread of COVID-19, especially in transporting medical and support personnel to and from the Emergency Quarantine Facilities at the Rizal Coliseum, Philippine International Convention Center, and World Trade Center in the cities of Manila and Pasay.
The donation was made possible through Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat of the Department of Tourism.
