Barangay De Ocampo, TMC to be placed under total lockdown today
TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite Apr. 27 (PIA) — Trece Martires City Mayor Gemma Lubigan announced yesterday that she is placing Barangay de Ocampo under total lockdown effective today.
This developed due to a confirmed “positive case of the COVID-19” in said barangay and to allow the local government to implement proper counter measures to prevent further spread of the virus.
Contract tracing will be immediately executed to find out if there are others already infected, while passage into and out of the barangay will be prohibited even with Quarantive Passes.
A 24-hour curfew will be implemented encouraging the residents to stay inside their houses because violators will be arrested and brought to the PNP headquarters for inquest.
Food and basic essentials can be accessed through a mobile market that will be provided by the local government which will roam around the barangay so that social distancing will be observed.
Contact numbers of the Barangay officials were posted to be used for coordination in cases of emergency.
“We are asking the public to remain calm and vigilant as the local government exhausts all means necessary to protect your health and contain the spread of the virus,” requested Mayor Lubigan. (Ruel Francisco, PIA-Cavite with reports from official FB page of Mayor Gemma Lubigan)
