Bukidnon receives relief goods from Hedcor
MANOLO FORTICH, Bukidnon, April 2 — The communities’ safety in light of the COVID-19 outbreak is a shared priority for both its local government unit and Hedcor.
Together with Aboitiz Foundation, Hedcor turned over sacks of rice and ready-to-eat goods to its partner municipalities and barangays.
Hedcor ensured to help heighten the communities’ preventive measures against infection. As such, it turned over boxes of hand soaps and disinfectant to the communities for cleaning and disinfection use.
Other items, such as folding beds as well as basic supplies like pails, basins, and other essentials were also handed over to the community.
Medical supplies, such as facemasks, alcohol, and thermometers, are also expected to be provided by the hydropower firm as soon as the items are available.
In response to this, barangay captain Ramir Linohon of Barangay Maluko—one of the recipient barangays—expressed his gratitude to the organization.
“Sa ngalan sa Maluko barangay council ug sa pamilya sa mga frontliners, mo-paabot gyud mi ug kinasing-kasing nga pasalamat sa Hedcor ug sa tibuok Aboitiz group sa dako kaayong tabang (On behalf of Maluko barangay council and the frontliners’ families, I thanked Hedcor Bukidnon for their kindness and support),” Linohon said.
Aside from Barangay Maluko, other recipients in Manolo Fortich town include barangays Santiago, Guilang-Guilang, Dalirig, and Lingion.
Barangay Guihean in Impasugong town also received relief goods.
“The Aboitiz Group is one with the government and our brave medical and security frontliners who are working hard to defeat COVID-19. We are committed to supporting the COVID-19 frontliners for the long term,” said Sabin Aboitiz, Group president and CEO in line with their efforts in assisting their partner communities.
Through these efforts, Hedcor is committed to help sustain the needs of their host communities in this trying time. This is an embodiment of Hedcor Bukidnon’s bigger promise of Advancing Business and Communities. (Jessa John Delos Santos, Hedcor-AboitizPower/PIA Bukidnon)
