April 17, 2020 Uncategorized

ILIGAN CITY, Apr. 17 (PIA) — The City Health Office (CHO) here urged residents to obey guidelines and share full disclosure of travel and medical history in the fight against the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Dr. Cherlina Canaveral of CHO cited the importance of cooperation of the community by observing social distancing, staying at home and regular handwashing.

“Importante ang kooperasyon sa community members kay dili magsilbi  ang atong LGU, health workers kung dili sila mag-cooperate,” said Canaveral.

[The efforts of the LGU and health workers will be gone to waste if the community members will not cooperate.]

Canaveral also encouraged those residents who experience symptoms or signs of respiratory infection to proceed to their health center or facility.

“Dili mamakak. Dili mo angay mahadlok, musulti sa gibati. Ang purpose sa health workers is tabangan maulian ang mga naay signs or symptoms of respiratory infection,” Canaveral said.

[Don’t lie. You should not fear, share what you are experiencing. The purpose of the health workers is to help the people who have signs or symptoms of respiratory infection recover.]

Canaveral also said that sharing these health issues is important to determine early diagnosis and management.

The city government of Iligan extended its implementation of the enhanced community quarantine until April 30, 2020. (LELA/PIA ICIC)
