Contactless, cashless transactions: tollways service for ‘New Normal’

May 28, 2020 Uncategorized

BACOOR CITY, Cavite May 27 (PIA) — The transition of the province and most of the neighboring cities from ECQ to MECQ and GCQ lessened the restrictions allowing for more movement of the people with more business establishments already operational.

In the “New Normal” set-up, business operations should comply with the minimum public health standards to ensure the safety of every one, thus contactless transaction is the newest service offered by the Metro Pacific Tollways South Management Corporation (MPT South).

The said service encourages the use of the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) which allows for contactless passage through the toll plazas that can be availed in several convenient cashless transactions.

First is the Stick-it-Yourself RFID, the newest innovation and offering of Easytrip Services Corporation that allows Class 1 motorists to order their Easytrip RFID online and have it delivered right at their doorstep.

The Easytrip RFID can be purchased using the leading online shopping apps and at the Easytrip Website with just an initial load of Php500.00 as introductory price, the package comes with an RFID positioning guide and Easytrip card for convenient loading.

Meanwhile, motorists using the MPT South Expressways will find Customer Service Centers in CAVITEX, C5 Link and CALAX that are open for installation and reloading and most recently, MPT South activated the Easytrip Express Lanes at Lane 16 of the Parañaque Toll Plaza Manila Bound and Merville Toll Plaza.

While customer service centers can extend reloading services, motorists are highly encouraged to do it online for contactless transactions, 24/7 anytime, anyplace.

The company had been in the forefront in support of those in need especially during this emergency health crisis and had supported the frontliners and health workers granting free passage thru the Free Easytrip RFIDs for medical practitioners, as well as LGU and Barangay Medical Utility vehicles to facilitate emergency quick response.

“MPT South is one with the government in the fight against this pandemic and recognize the need to provide unhampered flow and faster pass through of all vehicles. We are committed to serve and maintaine the safety of our motorists prior and beyond this crisis,” said Arlette Capistrano Assistant Vice President, Communication and Stakeholder Management.
