Delta Variant case detected in Baguio City
The Department of Health – Cordillera confirms the detection of ONE (1) DELTA VARIANT case in the CITY OF BAGUIO.
The case was reportedly already recovered as per time-based recovery.
Continuous case backtracing and contact tracing are now being done by the Local Epidemiology Surveillance Unit.
Additionally, one (1) Returning Overseas Filipino (ROF) hailing from Baguio City was also tested and confirmed as a DELTA VARIANT case. The case is now recorded in the ROF database of the Epidemiology Bureau (EB) and shall NOT be considered as a local case in Baguio City.
Again, the DOH-CAR reminds the public to comply to the minimum public health standards, adhere to guidelines and protocols set by local authorities, and especially avoid unnecessary travels.
