Dinapigue PNP adopts Dumagat families affected by ECQ

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, April 10 (PIA) – – – In line with efforts to help those most in need during the imposition of Enhanced Community Quarantine(ECQ), the Dinapigue Police Office led by Police Major Randy Joseph Carbonell has adopted chosen Dumagat families in the coastal town.

The move is in support to PNP’s ‘Program Adoption of Indigent Family’ which seeks to adopt families in their area of jurisdiction whose source of living has stopped and those severely affected due to COVID-19 pandemic.

As of writing, four Dumagat families were already reached out by Dinapigue PNP where in relief packs and other assistances were personally given and delivered to them.

Among the beneficiaries is Nanay Mencing Usbal, an old-aged woman residing at Barangay Digumased. Carbonell together with his team has already visited Nanay Mencing twice to deliver another relief packs to her as part of the sustainability of the project.

The police chief reiterated that they will try their best to sustain the project even the ECQ is lifted.

The other beneficiaries, according to the police chief are scheduled to be revisited.

On the other hand, the police here has been conducting mobile patrol to ensure that the public will abide on the strict implementation of ‘curfew hour policy’ in the locality.

The police chief is also consistent in visiting the established Community Quarantine Control Points in the municipality to ensure that the protocols are strictly followed.

Dinapigue town is one of the four coastal towns of the province of Isabela. Estimated time of travel to reach its town proper by land is about six to seeven hours from Santiago City. (MDCT/PIA-2)
