DOH-10 distributes health safety supplies to health workers, hospitals
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Apr. 23 (PIA)–The Logistics Assistance Cluster of the Department of Health (DOH)-10 provided personal protective equipment (PPE), cadaver bags, disinfectants and other health safety-related materials amounting to P3,916,444 across the different provinces in the region.
“This P3 million worth of logistics is what the DOH is giving to the different hospitals and disease surveillance units across different government units, so they can use it for their COVID-19 response” DOH-10 Health Education and Promotion Officer (HEPO) Aian Rebollido Caridad shared.
The PPEs, which include gloves, masks, gowns, and even medicine are vital resources against the fight for coronavirus disease (COVID)-19, especially for front liners in the hinterlands.
“They can use the PPEs when they verify data like contact tracing and other risk-related matters. We need to protect them,” she said.
As the five provinces of the region start to implement tighter borders in order to mitigate the spread of the virus, DOH’s Logistics Assistance Cluster aims to boost the capabilities of all of its units through the continuous transportation of its resources. (VPSB/PIA10)
