March 29, 2020 Uncategorized
ASSISTANCE: The DOLE – CAR reports that as of 6pm of March 26, there are 9,286 private sector workers’ application for the CAMP or COVID – 19 Adjustment Measure Program that offers a one time P5,000 financial assistance to workers, whether (permanent, probationary or contractual) of private establishments whose operations are affected due to the COVID – 19 pandemic.
Patrick Rillorta of DOLE – CAR, said that 2,260 of the applicants are workers from the 118 establishments that imposed a Flexible Working Arrangement, this reducing the number of hours/days of their work; while the 7,026 applicants are from private establishments that implemented a temporary closure due to COVID – 19.
DOLE – CAR hopes to start releasing CAMP financial assistance this week, Rillorta added.
For affected private sector workers who have yet to apply for the said assistance , they can just upload the application form at the DOLE – CAR website or fb account and send their application online via the email  car.dole.covid@gmail.com.
Application requirements are the establishment report on COVID – 19 and company payroll that indicates the bank or ATM account number of the affected employee, as the grant of the financial assistance will be credited directly to the beneficiaries.
