DOLE Caraga releases CAMP fund assistance to beneficiaries

BUTUAN CITY, March 31 — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Caraga Regional Office has recently announced the release of the first two batches of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) fund assistance amounting to P5,607,340.00 benefiting 1,117 workers in the private sector. 

According to DOLE-Caraga Regional Director Chona Mantilla, the first batch of release was made on March 26, 2020, amounting to P2,063,220.00 which covered 411 workers in Agusan del Norte province.

“The regional office has also released P1,516,040.00 to 302 workers from Surigao del Norte; P1,450,780.00 to 289 workers from Surigao del Sur; and P577,300.00 to 115 workers in Agusan del Sur,” added Mantilla.

Director Mantilla further bared that the regional office is waiting for additional cash from the Central Office to fund the next batches of applicants.
