DOLE XI disburses P9.9M for CAMP

DAVAO CITY April 2 (PIA) – The Department of Labor and Employment XI has created DOLE Task Force Covid-19 to implement its Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP). This is a safety net program for the workers in the formal sector affected by flexible work arrangements or temporary closure. Regardless of employment status, an employee will receive a five thousand pesos (P5,000.00) cash assistance from the department.

As of April 2, 2020, the Department of Labor and Employment XI has already disbursed a total of P9,945,000.00 to 130 establishments with 1,989 workers while another batch of approved applications is now for payroll preparation with an amount of P38,850,000.00 for 498 establishments with 7,770 workers. As of this writing, the total of applications received by the Department for evaluation is 7,900.

“Our team has been focusing and working fast in the evaluation of the thousands of applications that are in our inbox. Rest assured, we will do our best to speed up the work so that we can assist as soon as possible. To receive the financial assistance, DOLE will send it through money remittance.”, said DOLE XI Regional Director Raymundo G. Agravante.
