CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, Apr.14 (PIA) — Around 7,792 family food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) are ready for distribution to the different municipal local government units (LGU).
Erlinda Taquiqui, team head of the Social Welfare and Development (SWAD), informed that said packs will be transported to LGUs as soon as their request and accounting report on the utilization of their calamity funds are submitted.
The number of packs per LGU will be based on the number of their request. Beneficiaries will depend on the LGU validated list.
She said distribution will be done after respective LGUs have already distributed their own relief assistance or three days after such distribution to maintain food on the table for those with no means to provide basic necessity for their families and are severely affected by the extended enhanced community quarantine.

Delivery of the FFPs will be taken care of by the 503rd Infantry Brigade, the two districts of the Department of Public Works and Highways and the provincial government. Upon transport to the municipalities, it will be distributed with the help of barangay officials and DSWD field personnel.
