DTI 2 offers temporary shelter for CVMC nurses, other frontliners
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, March 29 (PIA) – – – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) regional office here has opened its two big rooms as temporary shelter for frontliners especially nurses of the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC).
The CVMC was designated as COVID-19 treatment facility in the region after the official confirmation of the first COVID-19 case in Region 2 by the Department of Health on March 21.
In a post by Tuguegarao City Councilor Atty. Marjorie Martin, she said DTI Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo immediately responded to the request of their organization Philippine Young Entrepreneurs Association (PYEA) based in the city to offer temporary shelter for frontliners.
“They are currently preparing the rooms as of this date and will be ready for occupancy by Monday,” said Martin.
“Thank you Michael Baculi Paggabao for interceding on our behalf. The PYEA Tugue team is grateful for your warm accommodation to our request.,” she added.
For her part, Ocampo said that the department will always be ready to respond with full support from its management down to the provincial levels.
“Thank you for this opportunity to help. To ARD Ruben Diciano, who made sure the quarters is made ready for occupancy, and to all Provincial Directors, Salvacion Castillejos, Salviejo Marietta, Winston Tan Singun, Henry Conel and Maria Sofia Gumiran Narag, who are all working silently to help ease people’s anxieties at these crucial times, thank you,” Ocampo added.
