DTI urges deployment of rolling stores in Vizcaya

April 27, 2020 Uncategorized

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, April 27 (PIA) – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is encouraging the operation of rolling or mobile stores in the province to bring food supply closer to communities.

Rowena Mayangat, DTI’S Chief Trade and Industry Development Specialist said the rolling stores can address the decreasing supply of food in various barangays.

“These rolling stores can bring in additional supply of food including basic necessities and prime commodities especially to barangays which are suffering from shortages of various food products,” she said.

Mayangat made the encouragement after a recent monitoring of prices of basic necessities and prime commodities showed that some of the variety stores in public markets of the province have closed shop due to shortages of supply.

She also noted price increases of meat products in the province’s highway municipalities such as in Aritao, Bambang and Bayombong.

Mayangat however bared that the supply of basic necessities and prime commodities can still last for two to three weeks in the province (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
