FM pass coding system gets revision

March 14, 2021 Uncategorized

DAVAO CITY April 21 (PIA)- Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has confirmed revising the use of the food and medicine pass using the last digit as its basis for compliance effective 12:01 am 22nd of April.

She said the new guidelines states that FM passes ending 1,3, 5, 7, 9 can be used Monday, Wednesday and Friday while FM passes ending in 2, 4, 6, 8, 0 can go out and buy food and medicine on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

“Instead of the first digit, we will be using the last digit,” Duterte-Carpio said.

She told FM pass holders to indicate their cluster number and the last digit of their FM pass at the front portion of the FM pass.

Duterte-Carpio said touching the FM pass by members of the security measure is not allowed since touching it is a mode of COVID-19 transmission.

“You must not allow other people to touch your things because this is a way of transmission of the virus,” she said.

Duterte-Carpio stressed that FM pass must not be touched, or held by other people because it might be a mode of transmission of the virus.

She said the clustering of the barangays stays.

“It simply means do not move outside of your cluster.  Do not go near the Talomo, Poblacion and Buhangin areas.  Stay inside the cluster of the district where your barangay belongs,” Duterte-Carpio said.

She said the FM pass cannot be used in going to the hospital or clinics but emergency cases do not require an FM pass.

Duterte-Carpio said that if the activity is not buying food and medicine, but an ECQ exempted work just like working in the government particularly on sanitation, security or disaster, or food establishment, food delivery services, or doctors going to the clinic, ID is the only one needed.

She said any other activity does not require an FM pass.

Duterte-Carpio prodded on the residents to forget their relatives in order clusters for now due to the increasing numbers in COVID positive areas and the presence of hotspot areas like the city población, Talomo and Buhangin.

“Do not abuse your FM pass to visit your relatives,” she said. (PIA XI-Joey Sem G. Dalumpines)
