Hygiene kits provided to returning OFWs in Metro Manila

PASIG CITY, April 20 (PIA) — The Department of Tourism National Capital Region continues to provide assistance to returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are in Metro Manila.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Saturday received hygiene kits for use of 344 OFWs who are temporarily under quarantine in the two ships docked at Pier 15, Port Area in Manila.
DOT-NCR Regional Director Woodrow C. Maquiling, Jr. personally handed the donations to the PCG led by PCG Spokesperson and Head of their Public Affairs Office Commodore Armand Balilo,
Director Maquiling also inspected the quarantine facility for land based OFWs and seafarers aboard 2Go ship.
The coast guard expressed their gratitude to DOT for the hygiene kits which include tissue, face towel, shampoo, antibacterial soap, alcohol, toothbrush, tooth paste, cleansing wipes and hand sanitizer.
Earlier this week, the DOT NCR also provided hygiene kits to other OFWs who are staying in various establishments in Metro Manila. (PIA-NCR)
