JTF NCR provides assistance to GMA Kapuso Foundation

PASIG CITY, April 19 (PIA) — The Joint Task Force National Capital Region (JTF NCR) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has continuously provided assistance to the GMA Kapuso Foundation’s ‘Operation Bayanihan,’ this time, by delivering personal protective equipment (PPE) to hospitals in Metro Manila. 

“We are grateful that thru the Operation Bayanihan of GMA Kapuso Foundation, we are able to do our mission, which is to serve the people and secure the state,” JTF NCR spokesperson Lieutenant Arrianne Bichara told the PIA NCR.

“The GMA Kapuso Foundation has donated some 200 PPEs, 100 face shields and 50 loaf breads to each hospital: Amang Rodriguez Medical Center, Rizal Medical Center, Caloocan City Medical Center, Dr. Jose Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center and Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center,” Bichara said.

Earlier, personnel form the JTF NCR also helped the foundation in repacking relief goods to be given to households in Metro Manila.

The JTF NCR is one the AFP’s joint task forces assigned to combating Terrorism-Insurgency in Metro Manila.

The group also extends crucial assistance in the government’s timely response efforts during disasters and emergencies in the region.  (PIA-NCR)
