OFW family circles in Apayao donate facemasks to frontliners

STA. MARCELA, Apayao, Apr. 21(PIA) –In this time of COVID-19 pandemic, OFW Family Circles (OFC) of Sta. Marcela and Pudtol responded to the call to help the government and the frontliners in controlling the spread of the deadly disease.
Led by Francisca Blanco, the Sta. Marcela OFC members volunteered as sewers to produce much-needed face masks and surgical caps for COVID-19 frontliners.
With the support of the provincial government under Gov. Eleanor Bulut-Begtang thru its Apayao Training Center, and supplies provided by TESDA Apayao thru the leadership of Acting Provincial Director Roger Dancel, the group produced 115 face masks and 36 surgical caps.
These personal protective items were distributed to employees of the Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center and workers manning the quarantine checkpoints in Luna.
The Pudtol OFC donated 120 pieces of washable face masks to the frontliners of barangay Imelda, Poblacion, Alem and Emilia in this town. The facemasks were personally made by the members.
OFC President Leonora Lojero and the members had a donation drive to help those in need. ( PIA CAR with reports from OWWA Apayao)
