Ozamiz goes house-to-house to distribute relief goods
OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental, April 2 (PIA) – Some 33,000 households in Ozamiz City have received relief goods from the city government, as the general community quarantine continues to contain coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The distribution of relief goods to the residents started on Sunday, March 29, with barangays Malaubang, Labo, Sangay Daku, Kinuman Norte, Kinuman Sur, Bacolod, Guimad, Guingona,Capucao P, Capucao C, Dalapang, Pantaon, Diguan, Dimaluna, Tabid, Gotukan Daku, Gotukan Diot, Sangay Diot and San Antonio as the first batch of recipients.
In a press conference, Mayor Sancho Fernando Oaminal said “We plead with our residents to be more patient and understanding in these crucial times because we are doing and strategizing all the means to provide the essential services to all.”
The relief goods are distributed house-to-house to keep everyone in his home to avoid catching the virus.
