Pasig allots P1-B for supplemental SAP

PASIG CITY, April 18 (PIA) – The Pasig City Government has allotted over P1 billion as supplement to the national government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

On Thursday afternoon, Mayor Vico Sotto on his Facebook reported that the Sangguniang Panglungsod has passed the resolution approving for the release of the supplemental SAP to help other families not included in the national government’s list for the social amelioration program.

Sotto thanked Vice Mayor Iyo Bernardo and the city council for passing the resolution for the supplemental SAP.

The local chief executive said that city health workers and frontliners will also get hazard pay and special risk allowance. Sotto also expressed his gratitude for their continued service.

Meanwhile, the city’s ‘step-down facility’ is also now open, which was made possible through the help of the Rotary Club of Makati. The facility is a 16-bed isolation area wherein stable and recovering patients will be moved in. 

Likewise, Mayor Sotto also reported of the ongoing distribution of food coupon to the city’s public school students. He also encouraged parents to get their children nutritious food. Each student gets a P400-worth of food coupon. (Pasig City/PIA-NCR)
