Police beefs up security in banks

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, April 14 (PIA6) – – As the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) started giving out cash grants and social amelioration benefits, beneficiaries start to flock banks’ cash dispensing machines all over the province.

Thus, the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) beefed up security in banks all over the province where PNP personnel are assigned to secure branches particularly of Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) as well as other banks in the province.

A release from NOCPPO Information Office said this effort is to deter lawless elements from taking advantage of the situation among beneficiaries.

Police personnel also ensured that beneficiaries observe COVID-19 preventive measures of social distancing in anticipation of gathering of these beneficiaries.
