March 14, 2021 Uncategorized

ILOILO CITY, Aug. 4 (PIA) – – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Iloilo still needs 200 enumerators for the conduct of the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH) tentatively scheduled this September.

The 2020 CPH was originally scheduled in May but was postponed in compliance with the government’s directives to put a stop to the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID 2019).

PSA – Iloilo Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida Amolar said the 200 enumerators will form part of the 594 field personnel who will be involved in the collection of data for the 2020 CPH in Iloilo City.

Interested applicants may call PSA-Iloilo through telephone number (033) 3376445 for further details about the job opportunity.

Amolar said around 3,382 field personnel composed of Census Area Supervisors, Team Supervisors and enumerators were already hired for the province of Iloilo.

She said they are now preparing for the series of trainings for these census workers which will include health protocols especially during data collection.

The first batch of its training series to be participated in by Census Area Supervisors and Team Supervisors is set August 3 until August 8.

The 2020 CPH will involve the collection, compilation, evaluation, analysis, publication, and dissemination of data on population count, demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population, housing characteristics, household characteristics, and barangay characteristics in each barangay, city/municipality, province and region in the country.

It is the 15th census of population and 7th census of housing in the country since the first census was conducted in 1903. (JSC/laf/PIA6 Iloilo)
