Sen. Bong Go favors extension of ECQ in NCR
CALOOCAN CITY, April 21 (PIA) — Senator Bong Go on Monday said he favors extending the enhanced community quarantine in the National Capital Region beyond April 30.
Go said in video shared by his staff Gelo Villar.
Go said additional data can now be obtained from cities with the country’s testing capacity increased.
“Patuloy pa pong nagma-mass testing po ngayon sa iba’t ibang siyudad ay dapat muna natin malaman kung kailang magpa-flat ‘yung [COVID-19] curve,” the lawmaker said.
Go, who is known to be very close to President Rodrigo Duterte, however, did not specify as to how long the lockdown would be further extended beyond its second deadline.
Government is also eyeing a possible extension or modified implementation of the lockdown based on some proposals by the business and economic sectors.
