SMART DONATION FOR SENDONG-AFFECTED SCHOOL
Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) recently turned over slippers and school supplies to the Maslog Elementary School, one of its school partners affected by floodwaters resulting from heavy rains brought by typhoon Sendong in December. The turnover is part of Smart’s continuing support to those affected by Sendong. Maslog ES is a partner under the Smart Schools Program, Smart’s flagship community service initiative that aims to expand learning opportunities for public schools by applying Information and Communications Technology (ICT) tools in basic education. The public elementary school is also a partner under CommuniTeach, a Smart-led initiative that aims to improve learning among the lowest performing public elementary school students through the active participation of the parents and the community in the mentoring of their children.
