TESDA, ADTEMPCO produce free face masks for frontliners
PIDIGAN, Abra, Apr. 24 (PIA) – The Provincial Office of Technical Skills and Development Authority (TESDA)-Abra in collaboration with Abra Diocesan Teachers and Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (ADTEMPCO) produce face masks as their contribution to government’s effort to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus disease-2019 (Covid-19).
Graduates and teachers of TESDA’s dressmaking scholarship program are producing washable face masks to be given free primarily for health workers, police officers and other essential workers against Covid-19.
Freddie Baroña of TESDA said around 1,000 face masks were already distributed to health workers, to the Red Cross and barangays.
The volunteers are currently operating the sewing facility opened by Mt. Carmel Training Center in this town. The sewers are provided with allowance and incentive from ADTEMPCO and TESDA.
The use of facemask is now one of the measures being adopted by local government units as a preventive measure against Covid-19. (JDP/CAGT – PIA CAR, Abra)
