Parents of baby patient agree to identity disclosure
April 25, 2020 – The parents of the city’s youngest Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patient also agreed to a full disclosure of their circumstance to help in identifying persons who came in contact with their nine-day old daughter.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the baby girl’s parents Grail Dayao and Oliver Lugao of 317 Purok 7 San Luis Extension expressed willingness to help track down their contacts to prevent further transmission of the virus.
The mayor said the baby is currently confined at the Pines City Doctors Hospital while surveillance is ongoing to determine the source of her infection. – PIO Baguio
Another BGHMC worker identifies self
April 25, 2020 – Another BGHMC employee, Paola Ortiz, 28, of BGH Compound who works as encoder at the Out Patient Department Registration this afternoon responded to Mayor Magalong’s call for transparency to help save lives by revealing her identity.
Nurse steps out to help in contact tracing
April 25, 2020 – One of the four Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) health workers found positive for Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) stepped out to help in the contact tracing efforts of the hospital and the city government.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong said Herwin Siong, 34 yearsold from Lower Atab, Santo Tomas Proper agreed to disclose his identity and details to inform persons he came in contact with to take precautions by going into self-quarantine of asymptomatic and to go to the check themselves in the nearest health facility if experiencing symptoms. – PIO Baguio
