4Ps members in E. Samar get first slice from the SAP fund

BORONGAN CITY, April 6 (PIA) — Members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps got the first slice of the social amelioration fund in Eastern Samar.

According to Febie Palines, 4Ps Provincial Link, some 300,425 families from 4Ps have started getting their P3,650 augmentation fund aside from their health benefits at P750 and rice allowance at P600 for a total of P5,000.00.

While local government units are still processing the documents of some 60 thousand non-4Ps families, the Pantawid familes have started availing of the benefits since Saturday, until the last day of April, Palines said.

In Eastern Samar some 91,388 families are entitled to benefit from the social amelioration program, but the LGUs are still sorting out the list of the most vulnerable sectors like senior citizens, solo parents, PWDs and those who need the assistance most.

“The Pantawid families were immediately considered as their list is organized and ready,” said Palines.

In May, the same beneficiaries will be trooping to the ATMs again for the same benefits, she added.
